Pieces in this collection are made of many materials: polymer clay, wood, metals, gemstones and found objects. Most pieces are a combination of materials (hence, the 'mixed media'), but in some cases, I put a piece in this catagory when the material used is an 'unconventional' one for that type of piece or the technique is an imitative one such as the faux bone Ikebana hairsticks which are made of polymer clay over wood and wire armatures.
