Faux bone carved hairstick and stand

This polymer clay sculpture is a functional hair ornament that can be displayed in the stand when it is not being worn. The 7 1/2" high sculpture was formed over a wood and wire armature and carved using traditional carving techniques. This is the second piece in this series. This piece was juried into the 2007 Bead Dreams Competition sponsored by Bead and Button Magazine.
